St Vincent's, Lismore are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) – Urology to provide advanced clinical leadership and support within our urology service. The CNS is a key leadership role and plays an integral part in ensuring safe, effective and patient‑centred care.
The successful candidate will work autonomously while contributing to a multidisciplinary team, providing high‑level clinical expertise, education and guidance to staff, patients and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑level, evidence‑based nursing care for patients with urological conditions.
- Undertake comprehensive clinical assessments and provide expert consultation within the ward setting.
- Provide education and mentorship to nursing staff to support consistent, safe practice.
- Support patients and families with clear information regarding treatment, procedures and post‑operative expectations.
- Contribute to practice development, service improvement and clinical leadership.
- Ensure care is delivered in alignment with professional standards, organisational policies and relevant legislation.
About You
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the urology specialty
- Demonstrated clinical leadership experience
- Proven ability to mentor, educate and support staff in urology nursing
- Ability to work across all shifts as required
- High‑level written and verbal communication skills
