Nurse Unit Manager – Perioperative

The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is recognised as a key management / leadership position within the organisation and is central to the fulfilment of the hospital’s mission and vision.   • Dealing with professional issues relating to nursing within the clinical setting
  • Ensuring all treatment is outcome based and patient centred

 To be successful, applicants will need to possess the following:

  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • A minimum of five (5) years post-registration experience with appropriate qualification and / or experience in the relevant nursing speciality and have held an Associate Nurse Unit Manager or equivalent position.
  • Advanced life support certificate or working towards
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team so as to motivate and lead people
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles governing WHS, infection control, quality improvement and waste management
  • Commitment to the Mission and Values of St Vincent’s Private Hospital.
