St Vincent's, Lismore are hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Ward. The role involves providing safe and effective nursing care to surgical patients, with a focus on assessment, monitoring, and postoperative management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical care to surgical patients, including assessment, planning, and evaluation of care.
- Educate patients, families and staff on treatment protocols and postoperative requirements.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and the multidisciplinary team to support safe patient flow and handovers.
- Participate in all patient safety processes, including risk mitigation, incident reporting and adherence to clinical standards.
- Work in accordance with NMBA Registered Nurse Standards for Practice, relevant legislation, and organisational policies.
About You
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience in surgical or acute care nursing (preferred).
- Able to work effectively in a fast‑paced ward environment.
- Strong communication and clinical decision‑making skills.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts as required.
