About the roleReporting directly to the Nurse Unit Manager, this Registered Nurse role assists in the provision of high-quality care and support for our patients within our purpose-built surgical unit.As the Registered Nurse your role will include:Specialising in the treatment and education of fellow employees, patients and their families with regard to treatment protocols.  Ensuring all direct clinical nursing care is undertaken during your shift with regular, critical communication between you and your fellow colleaguesOptimising patient care through active participation in all patient care and safety processesDemonstrating the ability to conduct nursing practice in a manner that respects the rights of individuals and groups in accordance with all relevant standards, regulations and legislation. Your skills & experienceCurrent registration with AHPRA;Experience working within HDU/ Surgical with HDU experience desirable but not essential. Training will be provided for the right candidate;Well-developed leadership skills within a team environment;Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;Flexible and available to work all shifts on a rotating roster.Our Surgical Unit operates Monday – Sunday, we have 4 x permanent part-time positions (shift work), based at our St Vincent’s Lismore campus.Did you know? You can move over to St Vincent's Private Hospital without loss of Long Service Leave entitlements*.   • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • Experience working within HDU/ Surgical with HDU experience desirable but not essential. Training will be provided for the right candidate;
