Are you a qualified Sterilisation Technician? Or would you like to join our team supporting St Vincent’s, Lismore theatre department and learn?
This role is a critical part of the surgical process, requiring a strong eye for detail and St Vincent's are willing to train you and pay for your education.
About you
This position is open to those who are willing to engage in a Sterilisation Technician course, funded by St Vincent's Lismore. Opportunities can be part time or casual.
- Cert III or Cert IV in Sterilising Services or willingness to obtain
- Knowledge of sterilisation procedures and practices
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Sound working knowledge of AS 5369:2023 and Infection Control standards
- Demonstrated ability to organise the sterilisation needs of the operating and procedure room requirements
About the Role
This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.
- Clean, sterilise, inspect and package surgical instruments
- Adhere to sterilising standards and infection control measures
- Ensure equipment and stock are available for Perioperative staff
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence across the hospital
