About the roleReporting directly to the Nurse Unit Manager, this Registered Nurse role will provide high quality care and support to our patients within our 10 chair Day Oncology Unit.As the Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include:Specialising in the treatment and education of fellow employees, patients and their families with regard to treatment protocolsEnsuring all direct clinical nursing care is undertaken during your shift with regular, critical communication between you and your fellow colleaguesOptimising patient care through active participation in all patient care and safety processesDemonstrating the ability to conduct nursing practice in a manner that respects the rights of individuals and groups in accordance with all relevant standards, regulations and legislation.We have 2 x 12 month fixed-term, part-time roles available (2 days/week & 4 days/week). Your skills & experience

  • Current registration with AHPRA;
  • Previous experience working in oncology desirable but not essential. Training will be provided for the right candidate;
  • Experience in PICC/Port IV cannulation
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
  • Flexible and available to work all shifts on a rotating roster.
